In an age of AI-generated content, algorithmic filtering and misinformation, clear and trustworthy science communication is an essential skill. Learn how to turn complex research into messages that people can find, understand and trust, work on real life science project and gain practical skills!
What is this course about?
A short, intensive, practice-oriented international workshop jointly organized by Eötvös Loránd University (ELTE) and the University of Barcelona (UB). Students will work in mixed international teams and tackle real-world science communication challenges based on ongoing university research projects.
Through expert-led sessions and collaborative project work, participants will explore:
How universities communicate science and research to society
Science storytelling and audience-centred communication
SEO, AI visibility, and discoverability of scientific content
Misinformation, disinformation, and "prebunking" strategies
Plain language and science accessibility standards
Content creation for digital platforms, social media, video, podcasts, and visual storytelling

Workshop Format - 2 limited sessions, intensive format - joint ELTE and University of Barcelona participation

Who Should Apply?
Bachelor's, Master's and Doctoral students from all disciplines are welcome. No prior experience in science communication is required.
